Electric Avenue - Downtown - 933 Hornby and 938 Smithe
You know the song and you know for at least the first little while it is going to be stuck in your head
“We gonna rock down to Electric Avenue, and then we’ll take it higher”
But that’s OK because you know what? This is a good place to be. The Electric Avenue, built by Bosa in 2005, has everything you could want in a development. Terrific location, plenty of amenities, and a solid reputation.

Set in the heart of the city bordering the edge of downtown and the border of the West End you are minutes to absolutely everything. Yaletown is just 4 blocks away. Granville Mall is just 2 blocks. The commercial district is just a few blocks to the North. And the beaches are just to the South West. The IGA Marketplace supermarket is just across the street as is the best hotdog in the city (Japadog!). Want to watch a film or Imax? That’s right downstairs at the Scotiabank Theatre (formerly Paramount Cinema). Starbucks or Tim Hortons will both cater to your caffeine needs (but only one will let you roll up the rim without looking too foolish). Everything is walking distance.
Amenities are what are expected for a development such as this. If you don’t feel like going to the cinema you could always rent out the private theatre in the building. Need to take your dog for a short walk or let your kids run around a bit? Then you may want to use one of the two rooftop decks and playgrounds. There is also a fitness facility to work out in after taking a meeting in one of the two conference rooms.
Yes, the Electric Avenue will definitely take it higher.
