False Creek North Plans Pass City Hall

BC place gets new roof and new art gallery

This is cool.  Very cool.  Plans and schemes for what we will do with BC Place and the new art gallery have passed a city council vote.  We’re getting a new retractable roof (to be closed 80% of the time?) and a new waterfront art gallery.   We’re also getting some more mixed use towers (office and residential) but sadly no affordable housing options.

Is that colour I see?  Not just white, concrete, or green glass?  Yes!

I’m telling you, False creek is going to be the place to be living in (North or South East) and combined with the Granville Island expansion plans to under the North side of the Burrard Bridge, is there anywhere else you’d rather live?
