I rarely talk about the weather unless it is to accentuate another activity. That said, we as a whole region got taken aback by the majestic display Mother Nature put on this past Saturday. The weather took everyone’s attention away from whatever they were doing and gave pause for the moment and events to come. Virgin Fest was stopped before headliners, The Roots, were able to go on, the Whitecaps had a two hour storm delay before they continued their romping of Puerto Rico, and South Africa wondered if they would be able to put on any kind of fireworks show at the Celebration of Light.
Well, good news is that those who were here got treated to an awe-inspiring display of lightning, torrential rains, and themost vibrant orange hued sky we’ve ever experienced. And the fireworks did go on.
