O2 Vancouver - English Bay Living

There are very few developable properties in the West End. There are even fewer which are anywhere close to English Bay and Sunset Beach. O2 (as in Oxygen) is one that is currently under construction.
Let’s take a look at what they show here. Gorgeous Sunset? Check. Ship waiting to port? Check (we often have several out in the inlet). Water? Check. Unobstructed views? What? Erm. OK. From the top floors, check. Looks like it’s on the water? Erm, maybe a bit of creative licensing going on here. Fact is that there is another very tall building that should be just to the right of this development and this building will not be on the water itself. (Check the map). The address is not Beach, it’s Davie. I’m not trying to take anything away from what will likely be a very beautiful and well located site. I’m just questioning why they felt the need to take any further creative license with the marketing material. This rendering is actually what your tall building neighbours will be looking down at (ie not a street view as many readers and followers of building marketing are accustomed to).
Sales have been ongoing for some time now and I am sure they are going well simply based on the fact that there haven’t been any new developments for many years in that neighbourhood, certainly not anywhere close to water.
Let’s look at some marketing for this project:

The English Bay O2 Floor Plans
There are now officially eleven floor plans released by the developers of O2 Living in English Bay (right on Davie and Denman Street corners) and they are all magnificent! Floorplan B at the O2 English Bay condominiums in downtown Vancouver will feature two bedrooms plus a flex room and two full baths that total up to nine hundred and fifty seven sq ft. What’s great about this floor plan is that the rooms are functional and there is one single large terrace deck for the homebuyer to enjoy the magnificent views of English Bay and the water. Floor Plan E at waterfront 02 English Bay living condominium modern flats is a 2 bed/2bath plus den and flex closet storage room with one thousand and seventy seven to 1124 square feet and the 3rd level will have planters along the East side and balconies along the south side off the living and dining room. The Floorplan H at O2 English Bay waterfront living consists of 2 bedrooms + Flex and two baths for a total of nine hundred and eighty six square feet with a large ensuite bathroom, two balconies and open style kitchen and insuite laundry facilities. Plan I at O2 waterfront Vancouver living is a six hundred and forty one square foot modern flat, one of the smaller units in this building and Floorplan J has a spectacular view of English Bay in a curved glass layout with expansive terrace, two beds and two baths plus a storage area and seventeen hundred and eleven sqft. This is only on Level 7.
